We have launched our Sing For Wellbeing continuing professional development (CPD) programme for primary teachers in Scotland to develop skills and confidence to deliver inclusive singing in their classrooms. The programme is especially for non-music specialist teachers and is designed for those with no prior musical experience. It’s a radical approach, designed with and alongside teachers, and it’s potential impact on the wellbeing of children through more regular singing at school is huge.
Our initial focus is on upper primary teachers and although we will be holding the CPD workshops in Edinburgh, teachers from across Scotland are welcome to take part.
We are ready to sign up our first cohort of teachers for 2025-26, with workshops beginning in September 2025.
More details can be found on our project page here: Sing For Wellbeing.
We are also recruiting for a new Producer post to support this project. More details on our Vacancies page.
