Sing in the Edinburgh International Festival’s The Big Singalong

Join our Caledonia Chorus! – Choir places are now full

Devised and led by Love Music’s celebrated community singing leader, Stephen Deazley, Edinburgh International Festival is producing a massed participatory singing event with an audience of 1,500 people singing along at Ross Bandstand in the stunning Princes Street Gardens overlooked by Edinburgh Castle.

Love Music has been asked to recruit 120 singers to form a scratch choir. This is an exciting experience to be part of an inclusive community choir that will perform alongside Scottish national treasure and folk music legend Dougie MacLean in a specially commissioned arrangement of his most celebrated song, Caledonia. Nearly 50 years on, the song speaks powerfully about what it means to find home, especially for those who are new to Scotland or have journeyed far.

Audience tickets for the event are now SOLD OUT, so this is a unique opportunity to take part as a performer alongside Stephen and Dougie, to lead the audience in a glorious moment of connectivity in singing Caledonia.

The Love Music’s team will liaise with the choir, are here to answer any questions, and will be on hand to look after you throughout the rehearsals and performance.

The 120 places in the choir are now full, thank you for your interest in this event.
