Sponsor us in our Kiltwalk fundraising – 11th-13th Sept
Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard applying for grants to cover our charity’s core costs, most of which are normally covered by activity that has been impossible during the pandemic, such as concert income. We are committed to continue to provide exceptional musical opportunities to as many people as possible, despite whatever the world throws at us, and to protect the sustainability of our charity while still providing free access to our projects for those who can’t afford to pay.
So we’ve decided to complement our funding applications by joining the Edinburgh Virtual Kiltwalk. There is a growing team of walkers, made up of our amazing Community Choir members and Love Music’s trustees and production team, all of whom have signed up to walk as many miles as they feel able to over the Kiltwalk weekend.
The Hunter Foundation has committed to topping up any funds raised for charities by 50%, which is a fantastic incentive for us to get involved! Our goal is to raise £3,000 in sponsorship which would result in a total of £4,500 with the top-up. If we can raise more than this, any extra funds will help!

Donate or Share CampaignCan I join your walking team?
Yes! We’d be delighted if you’d like to join our team, and help us to raise some sponsorship for Love Music. The event registration costs are: £12.80 per Adult / £6.50 per Child. The registration fees go to Kiltwalk to cover their admin, but any money raised by you after that goes to Love Music.
If you’d like to take part but can’t afford the registration cost, please get in touch and we’ll provide you with a free place.
The recent Dundee Kiltwalk was the first ever Virtual Kiltwalk. Participants walked alone or with their families and bubbles, and together raised £300,000 for the charities they care about. The benefit of doing a virtual walk is that you can participate wherever you are and do whatever distance you can manage, choosing a challenge to suit yourself – you could walk 1 mile or 26 – both are great and all levels of activity will help towards your good health!
When you register, choose “Love Music Productions” from the charity list and join our team “Love Music” so everyone can see our combined fundraising progress.
If you set a distance (“fitness”) goal on the Kiltwalk website, during the Virtual Kiltwalk weekend you can add your distances as you complete them and your total will show on your own page and the team page. Have a look at what some of our team have written if you need a little inspiration, and please do get in touch if you need help. To sign up, click the button below and then click “Join Team”.
