We are delighted to report that our Kiltwalk raised donations of £5,350, exceeding our target! The Hunter Foundation pledged to top-up donations by 50%, meaning over £8,000 raised to help us provide high quality, inclusive and accessible music participation projects. Massive thanks to everyone who donated and shared our appeal!
The biggest thanks go to our 8-strong team, and the friends and family members who walked or ran along with them. Collectively they covered well over 200km during the Kiltwalk weekend, with walks, runs and hill climbs from Glasgow to North Berwick. It was lovely to hear from everyone as they progressed around their routes and there was lots of encouragement among the team. The highlights:
Ruth and Liz both completed our Treble Clef route Iain ran for over an hour along the Water of Leith Sally combined her stepping with serving coffees at the Hingabootery Andra walked 24 miles split between the Kelvin Walkway and a there-and-back walk from North Berwick to Tantallon Castle Ali walked from North Queensferry to The Shore in Leith Neil climbed all 7 of Edinburgh’s hills and walked between each Stephen ran 50km from Edinburgh to North Berwick!Well done and thank you to everyone for such amazing efforts!
