Road Trip is a project for upper primary school pupils, delivered in 6 ½ day sessions by two professional composers and musicians. It offers new skills in music composition, audio recording, sound design and sound editing, outdoor field recording and building a temporary mobile sound studio in your school or venue.
Children produce large scale graphic scores, create and film their own audio sound walks, remix their own music with free music software, and develop teamwork and creative confidence throughout the project. Road Trip was created with Yann Seznec and is delivered in our own inimitable style, full of creative adventuring, the highest quality of music making and lots of fun. Where will you go on your Road Trip?
Our pilot of Road Trip took place in 2016 in partnership with sound, funded through Aberdeenshire Council’s Youth Music Initiative budget, where we worked with 2 P6 classes from schools in Peterhead.

A decorated graphic score used for the second part of the composition process – the participants seem to love music too!
