Calling all Scotland-based choir and song leaders

March 8, 2022 Latest News

Rebuilding singing communities across Scotland

Music inclusion charity Love Music is planning a two-day national gathering for Scotland-based song and choir leaders to support post-Covid-19 recovery across our sector, to take place in Glasgow on 24th & 25th Sept 2022. We’re calling the event “The Comfort Of Voices”.

This gathering will be open to all choir and song leaders at any level of experience and working in any genre. It will be a time to sing with and for each other and to make new connections. We want to:

  • re-energise and inspire our choir and song leaders
  • celebrate our collective efforts and achievements
  • connect a diverse body of practice and practitioners and share our work
  • ask questions about and discuss what our sector needs to promote artistic growth, sustainability, and resilience
The event is dependent on a successful bid to Creative Scotland.

If you’re interested in attending and to help shape the event and our funding approach, please fill in this short survey by 23rd March: https://sing.lovemusic.org.uk/survey.

A warm thank you from the event steering group: Ali Burns, Katy Cooper, Stephen Deazley & Penny Stone
