Gillian is currently Head of Strong Communities at Citizens Advice Scotland and part of the senior leadership team for the organisation. Alongside her team, Gillian leads the organisations policy and influencing work on human rights, access to justice, and digital inclusion. Gillian’s policy work also spans local government having worked for the local government membership organisation COSLA, the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities for a number of years.
Gillian has qualification in law and research and her PhD focussed on gender equality and public policy in Scotland.
Other appointments include Chair of the consumer panel at the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission, and member of the Board of Directors at Central Advocacy Partners.
Having played piano from an early age and a keen concert/gig attendee Gillian is thrilled to be joining the Love Music board to support the charity’s work.
