Stuart Mullen joined the Board of Love Music in January 2018 and was appointed Treasurer in January 2019.
Stuart was formerly an accountant with the City of Edinburgh Council and supported the Culture, Sport and Events service areas at senior management level for many years. Stuart’s passion for visual and performing arts stems from his professional links with cultural venues including the City Art Centre, Usher Hall, and King’s Theatre in Edinburgh.
In his accounting capacity he has been a member of a diverse range of project boards and organising committees delivering exhibitions, events, and capital projects in the City. These included the Terracotta Warriors, Star Wars and Star Trek exhibitions and the World Cross Country and World Duathlon Championship events held in Edinburgh. He also worked on the refurbishment of the Royal Commonwealth Pool and the redevelopment of Calton Hill capital projects.
Stuart is a trustee with the charity Edinburgh Forget Me Not Garden, formed to develop a sensory garden and hub in the grounds of Lauriston Castle for people with dementia and their families and carers.
He enjoys most sports, particularly football, and is old enough to have followed Scotland at World Cup Finals – when they used to qualify!
